Although we have signed contracts no stone is

arriving and we are told that the contractors have got useless

quarries.

The Fei Shu Ngan quarry was also confiscated from

our contractors some years ago along with our plant and actually

cost the Canton Government nothing so we would venture to

endorse the Consul General's opinion that by giving us Limestone

gratis from there our claim would be liquidated without anţ

expense to the Canton Authorities.

We shall be very glad if you can help us in any way

to secure favourable consideration of the proposal by the

Canton Authorities.
